    The Tax Analyst is involved in all aspects of US domestic tax compliance and research within the US Corporate tax department. This position requires an ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.


    • Provide support for Tax Planning & Special Projects, perform analysis, prepare memoranda, monitor deadlines
    • Support the development and execution of the annual tax compliance plan, monitor (tax) reporting and filing deadlines
    • Prepare and file domestic tax returns, including State Income Tax, Property Tax, Motor Fuel tax, Sales and Use Tax, Excise Tax (Form 720)
    • Prepare, submit and monitor tax payments
    • Assist in preparing other federal and/or state income tax computations as requested
    • Assist in preparation of monthly tax reporting to corporate headquarters
    • Maintain processes designed to identify, assess, and calculate uncertain tax positions
    • Support the resolution of state and local tax notices; manage information responses on state tax audits
    • Support business lines (upstream and downstream) on tax related matters
    • Assist in the implementation of the internally developed Tax Management System
    • Support access to training appliances


    • Legally authorized to work in the US for any US employer
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university
    • CPA preferred
    • 2 or more years of tax experience in corporate tax or public accounting
    • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks efficiently, timely and accurately
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applications (ideally SAP, OneSource, Checkpoint)
    • Detail-oriented, well-organized and showing the ability to prioritize responsibilities
    • Ability to manage effectively in a team-oriented environment
    • Willingness to learn, to build new skills and to be a team-player
    • Positive, whatever it takes attitude


    • Experience in the oil & gas sector is a plus
    • Experience with IT tax software is a plus
    • Proficiency in Spanish, or a willingness to learn, is a big plus
